October 11 photo assignment: Emily

Emily has hit the ground running in Tanzania!  She is keeping busy playing football with the U-13 team, being elected to Grade 6 Student Council representative, and planning to try out for the school play. She's got an advantage over her HOPAC classmates in that this is her second "first year" of middle school (or as they call it here, "secondary school.")  I can definitely see the pre-teen emerging as she was very reluctant to have her picture taken. However, she still likes having her dad for a teacher and gives him hugs on campus when she sees him!
